Hi, I’m Janelle, the florist behind Veenema Floral Studio. I’ve been designing wedding flowers since early 2023, but flowers have been part of my life for much longer. My Dutch heritage meant I grew up surrounded by gardens and generations before me who loved plants. While they focused on the growing, I realized my gift was in designing; taking flowers and shaping them into something meaningful for someone’s most important day.

My approach is simple: I create flowers that feel natural, intentional, and full of emotion. I want each design to highlight the couple first, while still leaving a lasting impression on everyone who experiences it. I believe flowers should feel like part of your story; not a decoration on the side, but something that adds to the joy of your day.

I’m based in Ottawa, Ontario, and I design wedding florals throughout Ottawa, the surrounding area, and Prince Edward County. I focus only on weddings so I can give each couple a thoughtful, personal experience from start to finish.
